The Challenge is a truly unique challenge that will require huge efforts in both its planning and execution. Can it be done? We shall see; one thing’s for sure though, following the journey will certainly be interesting.

The requirements of “The Challenge’ are as follows:

  • One round will need to be played at each of the Top 100 ranked golf courses in Canada.
  • It will need to be completed in 100 days.
  • Over 8,000 kilometres will have to be driven between the starting point in St.John’s, Newfoundland and the finishing line in Vancouver, British Columbia.
  • Guest invitations will need to be secured in order to play on the Private courses included in the Top 100
  • A large supply of golf balls! I’m a reasonable golfer, but i share a common bond with my fellow other amateur golfers……. i usually lose a ball or two most rounds. Over a 100 rounds thats going to add up.
This map shows the distribution of the Top 100 ranked golf courses in Canada. To give it some perspective, that gap in the middle of the country is 2,700km! London, UK to Moscow, Russia is less!

G’day Adrian, you’ll recall me from the amazing BMAGS (British Miltours Algarve Golf Society)Golf Society in England and the games we have played in this country. You are the Boy for taking on such a wild and wonderful golfing challenge mate! I’ve signed up for your newsletter and I’ll support you in your quest. I look forward to your first newsletter and the outline plan of the mission. So good luck and keep swinging those clubs and hitting balls all over the magic top 100 Canadian Golf Courses!

Thanks so much Graeme, look forward to having you follow along and hopefully some more of the BMAGS boys to. It was a pleasure to play a round with you on Captains Day

You’re a complete nut. They say a game of golf ruins a good walk and under normal circumstances I’d agree. But that’s one heck of a walk you’re going to do. But what a great concept and a good cause. The very best of luck (and I have plenty of blister plasters if you need them). Kate x
